Advancing Analytics
for National Impact
Five interconnected research pillars, each grounded in U.S. national priorities — from the CDC's chronic disease agenda to the FTC's consumer protection mission.
AI-Augmented Consumer Behavior Analytics
Applying machine learning to predict consumer purchasing behavior and reduce retail supply chain waste — addressing a $300 billion annual inefficiency in the U.S. economy.
The U.S. retail sector generates approximately $7 trillion annually and employs over 15 million workers. Yet overstock, poor demand forecasting, and supply chain misalignment cost American businesses an estimated $300 billion annually. My research develops and validates machine learning models that use consumer behavioral data to generate accurate, real-time demand predictions — with particular attention to accessibility for small and mid-size U.S. retailers.
- → How accurately can ML models predict regional purchase intent from behavioral signals?
- → What are the equity implications of algorithmic demand forecasting across demographic segments?
- → How can predictive analytics tools be made accessible to U.S. small retailers?
